<P>****<BR>After Athena had cleaned herself up and returned to her residence, she sat behind a small oak desk in her sitting room and penned her letter/report to the Captain and Commanders of the Guard. The following was scribed in neat, flourished script.<BR>****</P>
<P>Sundas, Sun's Height 27 in the year 473</P>
<P>Unto the Captain and Commanders of Drache's Royal Guard ~</P>
<P>Greetings. I am Athena Von Kessemoore, bounty hunter by trade. I have enclosed my license information along with this letter. Please accept my apology upfront for addressing this report to both the Captain and the Commander's as I am unaware of who would receive this.</P>
<P>While at the Inn of the Black Dragon, I noticed one of the guards, Armsman Nero; as well as a body lying dead on the floorboards in a pool of blood approximately five or six feet from the front door. At first, I did not approach, as it is not my place to do so; nor is it my duty. However, I felt compelled to walk over when it appeared Armsman Nero was experiencing difficulties in dealing with a situation involving the deceased.</P>
<P>Upon reaching Armsman Nero, I overheard him questioning another male (description of Shendes here). From what I overheard, it appears that this male (Shendes) was looting the victim (Flooder). Armsman Nero continued to question the male, asking for information on whether or not the male knew who had committed the murder or if the male had seen anyone doing it. The male insisted that he didn't know anything about it. </P>
<P>Another patron approached, a female (Description of Aithne here). The female attempted to get aid in lifting the victim's body to bring it outside; which she was quickly informed not to touch anything and not to move the body. </P>
<P>Armsman Nero informed the male (Shendes) that he was under arrest for theft and proceeded to attempt to shackle the male. During this, yet another patron approached, another female (description of Endera here). The Armsman proceeded to inform the patrons not to approach as he was attempting to conduct a rough investigation into the death of the victim. I, too, informed the patrons not to get too close, as it was doing nothing to help the situation.</P>
<P>The female (Aithne) whom was trying to lift the body, walked over to the hearth and dirtied her fingers with soot and ashes. She returned to the body, after being told not to atleast twice, and proceeded to trace a rune of sorts on the victim's temple. (assuming its the right temple as it was not stated). (sketch of the rune "raido" *whatever that is* here)</P>
<P>The situation was becoming a bit confusing by this time. The male (Shendes) whom Armsman Nero was attempting to arrest, kicked Armsman Nero in the shin and took off, attempting to flee the scene of a crime as well as resisting arrest and assaulting a Guard.</P>
<P>At this point, Armsman Nero drew his crossbow and loosened all four bolts at the (lwower) back of the fleeing male. With the possibility of the Armsman needing assistance with apprehending the male, I drew my bow and nocked back one arrow, tracking the male. The fleeing male dove to the floor, but had been struck by all four of Armsman Nero's bolts, so I returned my arrow to its quiver and slung my bow back over my shoulder.</P>
<P>(OOC note here concerning Shendes: Nero and Athena both gave up on rping with Shendes at this point because of a few moves that Shendes pulled that were bordering on God PC'ing.)</P>
<P>During the commotion, the second female (Endera) hinted to Armsman Nero that she was responsible for the murder, and she was informed that she was to be arrested. When the Armsman approached the female, she suddenly vanished and reappeared behind him. </P>
<P>I had assumed that the Armsman would be able to handle arresting the woman, so I turned my attentions to the victim. The moment I turned and looked back to the guard, he was gone as was the female whom was to be arrested. With no other choice, and after scanning the inn for Armsman Nero, I returned to the body.</P>
<P>----<BR>The notes I had made about the victim are as follows:</P>
<P>*Victim lies on his back approximately five or six feet from the front door in a pool of blood<BR>*No signs of a struggle or fight<BR>*Single bolt protruding from the victim's left temple - a small, fine red feather at the end<BR>*Very small diameter at the point of entry, indicating the bolt to be very fine and narrow<BR>*No personal affects were found on the victim's body<BR>*No weapons were found on the body</P>
<P><BR>-Physical description:</P>
<P>Victim appears to be a short, skiny man; perhaps around 5'4" to 5'6". Scraggly beard. Appears to be middle aged, graying hair and facial hair. Probably a merchant by the trendy well-to-do style of clothing. A bolt sticking out of his skull may give a hint as to the reason for death.</P>
<P>-Personal notes:</P>
<P>*By the point of entry upon the left temple of the victim, the position of the body on the floor and relative proximatey to the front door, one could assume the victim was shot down while possibly attempting to leave the Inn. Tables nearby are currently occupied and each chair is taken. Victim may also have been heading towards a table; perhaps knowing someone? </P>
<P>*When facing the front door of the Inn from the interior, I noticed a crack or two in the window to the left of the door; like spider veins in the pane. Upon closer inspection, its noticed there is a small diameter hole in the pane of glass; the same diameter as the fatal injury in the victim's left temple. Ninety nine percent positive, the shooter took his shot from outside of the Inn; bolt entering through the pane of glass and striking the victim as he was walking towards the door. Possible assassin? Innocent bystander killed instead of the target's intended victim? </P>

<P>As I was finishing writing up my notes, Armsman Nero and the second female (Endera) returned. The female sounded more like a whore as she blatantly sold herself to Armsman Nero. The female was never placed under arrest. Armsman Nero asked me what he should do since the female first stated that she did in fact kill the victim, but was now recanting her admission and claiming she did not. I suggested that Armsman Nero arrest her anyways for suspicion and let the Magistrates question her; stating that they would know if the female were telling the truth or not. By the time Armsman Nero turned back to the female, she had vanished. Shackles included. </P>
<P>As Armsman Nero became even more frustrated, he stated that he had not used the magic nulling shackles on the female, stating further that he had not brought that pair with him on his patrol today.</P>
<P>The coroner was summoned, the body was removed and I informed the coroner that he is to remove the bolt from the victim's head and return it to the guardhouse since it would be evidence.</P>
<P><BR>This is my report. I am available for question if the need arises.</P>

<P>The ink is allowed to dry then the parchment is folded lengthwise into thirds, then in half once. Stuffed neatly into an envelope and sealed, the initials of VK set within a shield crossed by a sword embedded into the red wax.</P>
<P>Neatly penned on the front of the envelope are the words "Captain and Commanders of Drache's Royal Guard" - "Private Report"</P>
<P>A local neighbor boy is compensated to run the letter to the guardhouse.</P>

<P>OOC note: There is a diminutive ething on the bolt, should someone accidentaly spot it, though that is highly improbable, it being covered in blood and all. It says "Potenti Domini" or something of the sort. </P>
<P>This ooc note has been provided to Athena's Mun from the Mun of Flooder, the murder victim.</P>
