<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>As I've already explained before, and most people
seem to understand, the concept of pairing up guards is a suggestion people
-might- like to </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>-volunteer- to. The whole thread at the moment is
just kicking around ideas to make guard rp more fun, particularly for those who
want to have more interaction with other guards. People need to understand that
no one is ever going to force anyone else to play something they abhor. The idea
is to enhance the fun and not to spoil it.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>As to the idea that role playing a few patrols with
another guard for fun inhibits one playing when the other is not around,
this has never prevented anyone before who have teamed up on their own. I have
never seen a pair of rp 'partners' who were joined like siamese twins and I've
seen a few pairings in BDI. Even the infamous non guard team of Lex Kaisa and
Jinnai Halfmoor weren't joined at the hip and enjoyed play alone with many
others.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>My own recruit Tejene pairs up with Merin because
the mun and I have fun playing together and make up our own npc adventures when
nothing is going on that needs a guard but I have played her in the inn
alone without any difficulty. (I seem to remember a monkey and a Magistrate
stabber -eyes Scarbie and Pete-).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I would enjoy going on patrol with any other guard
who wanted to, now and then, it would give Merin and Tejene things to discuss
and a different perspective. Merin mun might not enjoy it (I can't speak for
him) but the point is if we talk about it and know what people want to do, then
it makes it easier to interact rather than everyone just going along in their
own insular world.</FONT></DIV>
