<div>The following report is of an incident that occured in the evening hours of ... [1/28/07]</div> <div> </div> <div>Still on leave from active duty in recovery from my injuries, I came to the Black Dragon Inn for a meal and leisure. Soon after, John Black, the man fitting the description of Phenoria's assailant, entered into the Inn to turn himself in. He did so directly to me, despite there being no guard insignia on my person. Lieutenant Chasingfire, who was also present, offered me her shackles in order to arrest the man. I did so and brought him back to the Guard House for holding. I found it odd that knew he was wanted in connection to the assault on Pheronia when his warrant wasn't older than a day. What also alarmed me was that he seemed to know it was me who had issued his warrant. When asked how he came to learn of this, he stated that his father had access to this information.</div>
<div> </div> <div>Mr. Black also stated that he wanted me to inform his father of his arrest and told me that he could often be found back at the Black Dragon. Upon my return there to hand Lieutenant Chasingfire back her borrowed shackles, I was approached by the father, Mandrake Wolfwick. I informed him that his son was arrested, then questioned him about how he came across the warrant for Mr. Black's arrest. He explained in vague terms that he had observed something with his son's name on it in the Guard House by means of magic.</div> <div> </div> <div>I told the man he was going to be placed under arrest for illegal obervance of a crown document and criminal use of magic. I warned him that because he had spoken with his son about what he'd seen, that it came awfully close to Aiding and Abetting a Fugitive. He seemingly backpeddled a bit and stated that he had used magic to observe the testimony of Pheronia at the Guard House,
not a document. The Lieutenent stated that such still constituted as illegal observance and that the charge should stand.</div> <div> </div> <div>Mr. Wolfwick was formally arrested and brought back to the Guard House. He will be charged with Illegal Observance of a Crown Document and Criminal Use of Magic.</div> <div> </div> <div>I would like to note that while Mr. Black was tipped off through illegal means, he was very cooperative in turning himself in.</div> <div> </div> <div>Signed,</div> <div>~Idelle Sarault, Armswoman</div><p>
