Scribbled neatly in the rough and untrained manner of the handwriting of Lathos:
"Today was an interesting encounter within the walls of the Black Dragon Inn. After responding to a child messenger with words of a Vampire in the inn, I made all haste to the establishment to find what appears to be a young woman (Description of Shatter follows in rather bland detail), whom goes by the name of Shatter. When I happened upon the scene of people standing about her, she denied being a Vampire and insisted instead to being a Vamprae, which as she decsribes feeds on what remains in the hearts of Vampires. The whole circumstance, as I understand it, was started by her asking for blood to , as I later found out, bait a trap to catch Vampires for nourishment, however determining her as still being a Vampire or not is up to the Crown and her authorities.

This brings up the second incident that stemmed from the first, to which a man, I believe his name to be Ravynettius something something, appeared from the floor behind the girl and admitted to harboring her. Incase that she was indeed a Vampire, I ordered both to return to the guardhouse with me until such time as the girl's nature could be determined and whether or not he had commited some crime. He, rather arrogantly, insisted that he held in lot with the Magistrates, listing them by name as if to disuade me from my service. When that trick did not work, he went on to challenge my authority as well as the authority of the entirety of the Royal Crown and declaring himself above our 'petty' laws. He then made his escape quickly, drawing away into whatever nether abyss the bastard came from.

At the end of both confrontations, the girl, Shatter, came along quietly and without complaint, rather insisting that I do not continue further argument with her supposed mentor Ravynettius. If the powers to be do decide her fate to be ended for crimes of Vampirism, I do request with all due respect that it be a clean and quick one, as she neither resisted nor offered anything but politeness. She currently awaits in her cell.

By the Crown's glory, Lathos of the Steppes Haratham."
A nice ink blot stains the bottom corner of the letter, and the obvious signs of trying to clean the stain with some sort of cloth.

It’s the same Hotmail®.
