The poor overworked Royal Guard scribe provides another transcription (and
translation) of a report from Davien:

'Very late on the evening of the ((OOCly, 20th April)), I was approached in
the Black Dragon Inn by a young woman who requested blood from me. I had
formerly witnessed her requesting blood from another woman in the same Inn,
and baring fangs. I refused her, but she persisted and asked again.'

'When she did walk away, she turned and hissed at me, baring fangs, top and
lower canines extended and pointed. She climbed the walls of the inn with
ease. Given her threatening posture, and the presence of another fight -
between Officer Kirin and others on one side, and a roughly horse-sized
giant insect covered in blades on the other - behind me, I drew a throwing
knife and prepared to defend myself. The woman suspected of vampirism then
jumped onto the bar-top and leapt toward me - on later inquiry, she stated
that she felt threatened by my drawing a weapon.'

'At this point, I assisted Sister Jessica Mankheth in subduing the woman.
She claimed not to be a vampire, and said that she feeds on such creatures.
The suspected vampire was bound by the wrists. She at this point appeared
to be bleeding from an injury to the back sustained during the fight.'

'I offered her treatment, but she refused on the grounds that she suspected
I might harm her further on purpose. At roughly this point, officer Kirin
intervened and took charge of the situation.'

'Officer Kirin performed a priestly magic upon Tessa - I do not know the
specifics. From this, he judged her to be alive.'

'He left her judgement up to myself. I requested that she be freed, her not
being vampiric and the assault upon myself having been arguably provoked as
described below. Officer Kirin concurred, and the woman was released
without charge.'

'On reflection, I feel that I may have misjudged in drawing the throwing
knife, as this appears to have caused the situation to become violent. I
will of course submit to the judgement of any inquiry into this'.
