 Menxvan's light Commander,
As the new Lord Protector of Southern Arangoth, it is my hope that we may be able to work together well enough to provide for the continuos benefit of the Realm and the prolonged ruin of its enemies.
 Our ability to cooperate may well be put to the test now, as it seems trouble is brewing at a settlement known as Valkthres, at the northern shore of northenmost Darian, north-west of the Elgar. I have attatched to this missive a map of the larger area around Valkthres, courtesy of the Royal University. I have been told some of the details are well out-dated, but it will have to do for the time being. Also enclosed is the letter of one Gerd Ul-Afrith Elgire, aptentrod* of Valkthres. I wish you to continue you good work at fending off Assi raiders from our borders, but keep in mind that we might have more on our hands in Valkthres than aptentrod Elgire may have suspected. Send word to all Watchposts to keep more alert than usual. I myself have already sent simmilar missives to Watchpost Commanders at Nilik and Gathritana, requesting them to send watchmen to Valkthres' area in case Arangoth's enemies decide to act. I desire to led those units personly, though that may prove im
 possible and would ask upon your experience with the watch in appointing the deputy officers in charge of the operation.
