MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
On to Captain Von Stahl
>From the desk of 3rd Platoon Sergeant Arnise of the Wharf Garrison and
company.
This day marks the end of one tribulation and perhaps the continuation of
another, but there is reason to rejoice for the time being as the sea born
cult that recently plagued Drache is no more. In this report I will endeavor
to explain the incident following the initial investigation into the
abnormal vessel docked in the harbor, the explosion and subsequent fire in
the Wharf district, and the capture of many innocents including the young
priest Lakyle. This past evening I discovered too late to mobalize guards of
an impending diversion that turned out to be a full on assault, which was
intended to mask the departure of the strange ship that was headquarters to
the invading cult. Taking the fight directly to the ship myself, Grigor an
ogre who has shown courage, tenacity, and intellignce, and Wolan a sea born
creature himself and my entire Platoon engaged and won over the ship in
question. I frown upon such abandonment of the Royal Church in favor of a
prize like this but without the dicision Lakyle may be lost to us as this
ship was unique and sentient, incredibly fast as well, with it we were able
to catch up to and halt the fleeing ships with their precious cargo. Upon
liberating the pirate crew from their existance and taking possession of the
ship myself with all of 3rd Platoon moved to re-enforce the church and
engage the rising number of undead, it was only a matter of time before they
were subdued. Following which we boarded the unique ship and left to persue
the querry in question. Halting them by a whirl pool we boarded them, faught
their crew, vanquished their leadership, rescued to captives and made good
our escape. I would like to comment on the bravery of Marqhen, he has proven
himself a valuable guard and shown ability of a corporal or better, I here
by forward an official recommendation for his promotion. Lt. Trayin should
in my opinion be awarded a medal for her selfless service for without her I
would have perished to the depths of the whirl pool as I was unable to make
the jump back to our own ship, she caught me as I fell. I would also like to
second the Lt's recommendation and vouch for Grigor's acceptance into the
Guard as I feel he would make a valuable armsman. Nothing else follows,
Blessed Law Giver grant us deliverance.
