As I was finished with my work I figured another hour or two wouldn't be too much, I followed the man to find a situation brewing over an assault. Someone claimed to be a vampire and a man who had attacked it. (Description of Reown follows) I asked all parties to accompany me to the guardhouse so to keep it from gaining more public attention than was needed. It's no secret that the city is currently over run by demonic and vampiric forces, but I honestly thought it was a misunderstanding turned to violence. Following a couple of tests I did indeed discover that Reown was a vampire. It finally asked to be destroyed or cured, since there is no known cure except to end the unlife itself I obliged and purged it from the mortal coil. Though taking life is not something I enjoy, it is refreshing to see a vampire who knowing its current state of being would rather be atoned and sent on to whatever after life awaits, as opposed to the usual overly powerful lord of darkness type. Having come off duty and ordering a cup of tea a situation developed between drunken friends. For the most part the situation was disarmed through words, all be it it was found out that an individual (Description of Goldwing) was appearantly a slave of some sort that ignited the fight between friends. The issue of Goldwing I am currently investigating, trying to track the shackled man, though not a prisoner of our court system he is indeed some sort of prisoner and should be considered dangerous and apprehended until he can be found clear of any wrong doings. After the situation with a Kale-Bek (description follows) and Aristide Nyx (description follows) It was found that Mr. Bek tried to help the shackled man who had appearantly attacked Mr. Nyx, a fight between the two ensued. With the end of the violence an overly powerful demonic individual entered, seeing that there had been violence he goaded the situation by unsheathing some awesome weapon and threatened further violence. I advised him kindly at first to sheathe his weapon, which he simply did his lord bad ass sneer and provoked attack, it struck first shooting some vaporizing blast of negative energy, Jinnai Halfmoor was present and can give his own account at his choosing, I believe he would vouch that this being (description of Asmodai) was both a chaotic and evil demon. After much effort the creature finally fell and simply... left. The spirit of the demon was not destroyed nor could it be halted. It is still within the city somewhere, possibly using a new body as a host. One with blade drawn and the other using furniture for a weapon.As I tried to make the two stand down the one (desc of Reiner) ignored me while the others stood down (desc of Astiride Nyx and Archer Bishop). Reiner then proceeded to escape outside while I was busy with Nyx and Sgt Arnise and Recruit Red Fern followed after Reiner. Upon questioning the man Nyx I was informed that Reiner was a self proclaimed bandit of carvans which was verified by Tespin Dulcina. Since Nyx was apparently trying to make a bounty hunter's arrest and Archer Bishop was merely trying to help the guard prevent Reiner from leaving I gave them reprimands and let them go. Afterwards I took flight once outside the inn and found where Sgt Arnise and Recruit Red Fern had the man Reiner trapped in a house. After entering the dwelling from the rear as Sgt Arnise and Recruit Red Fern entered from a window and front door I watched as the man Reiner tried to kill himself by stabbing himself in the stomach with a poisoned dagger. I healed the man only to have him die as an unholy cloud of darkness left his body and Sgt Arnise captured the evil spirit and dispatched it. Upon finishing my shift I entered the Black Dinner inn seeking supper, as I entered I became aware of a fight and that Lt. Lay`Trayin was involved. Sgt Arnise entered just behind me and was moving in to battle when suspect (Reiner desc) used some type of smoke bomb and fled the scene past me. Thinking it likely this was a bad sign I then gave chase demanding he stop for questioning. Being personally unaware of the entire fight. I tried to shoot the man in the leg with a crossbow when he tried to keep fleeing and attempted to blow some type of dart at my mount. The suspect then fled into ally where he had a large black horse waiting and fled again ignoring demands he stand down. Sgt Arnise and myself gave chase on horseback. Assailant attempted to shoot more darts and cast weapons intended to harm our steads onto road way. To avoid such hazards I dismounted my horse and continued chase along with Sgt Arnise. When suspect jumped from his horse through a house window I gave chase diving in after him through the same window the assailant entered at (physical address). The suspect then used a repeater crossbow to shoot three rounds at me as I dove through window. Sgt Arnise came through the front door and very shortly Lt LayTrayin entered through back door. The man was told again to stand down but resisted, the assailant (desc of Reiner) then trapped stabbed himself with a dagger. It is of my opinion this was a being of supernatural evil and believed to set his soul loose to posses another body possibly. When Lt LayTrayin healed him( desc of Reiner) the assailant attempted to escape by supernatural methods which Sg Arnise stopped then dissolved into a vial dark cloud. At this point the poison from bolt the assailant shot me with had begun to make my senses unreliable. It is unsure if this being was truly destroyed or merely escaped. (OOC this character refused both in MSG and in character to comply, ignored posts and made several questionable plays. [04/10/07]: After filing my report for the evening and retiring from my partol, I entered the Black Dragon Inn off-duty for a meal and leisure. It was not long after that a man (description of Story) began shouting loud curses from the bar. When I turned to examine the situation, it appeared that a small wooden box (description of Nipper'Clink) was repeatedly biting him. While most of the patrons thought it amusing, I moved to intervene as the attack was clearly unwelcomed. Upon moving in to apprehend the box with a chair, a woman (description of L'bara) proceeded to draw a crossbow on me. She claimed she had a right to defend her property and threatened to shoot me. After I talked her down from such an unwise course of action, I pursuaded the argumentative woman to remove the box from the Inn. She complied reluctantly and I returned to my seat. Not long after, the same man (Story) began shoutting again from the bar about the box being there to harm him. I turned and saw that the box was back inside of the Inn but the woman (L'bara) was not. I went to apprehend and remove the box personally when the Inn's bouncer, Tia Mestin, and another woman (description of Ikara`Landron) stepped in to assist in doing so. This is when the situation became rather ugly. As Tia lunged for the box to grab it, it grew in size and swallowed her whole. I attempted to wedge myself into the box's opening to assist Tia out, but [Ikara'Landron] had apparently caused the box to expell all of it's contents out onto the floor. It was at that point that the box then fled from the scene rather quickly. Speculation remains around the woman (L'bara) who had drawn a weapon on me intentionally sending the box back into the Inn. Though she ultimately complied with my first order, the woman was very belligerent and unfavorable of the Royal Guard. While that is, in itself, not something particularly alarming, she did not hesitate to draw a weapon on me with intent to introduce some sort of toxin into me that would cause incapacitation. It is with such speculation that I request the woman be brought in or briefly detained for questioning regarding her ownership of the box that was clearly left to reenter the Inn after being told to remove it. She identified it as being her property. The box, itself, has attacked numerous patrons now and is to be considered an item of public endangerment. There seemed to be some confusion amongst those present as to whether the box was an animate object or a cognitive being. In the case of the latter, it clearly seems unable to stand trial. When I asked about proof of this alledged 'attack' against her person, she refused to comply, and instead began insisting that I give her 'respect'. I can assure you, I spoke to her only with politeness during our conversation. Due to her lack of a desire to cooperate, I placed her into one of the holding cells. Unfortunately, even this was not enough. She began demanding a bottle of wine, and even attempted to walk her hand, which was somehow able to detatch from her body, out the door to fetch it. I told her to withdraw back into the cell, she refused, still insisting on trying to set the rules. [04/23/07]: Towards the end of my patrol, I stopped into the Black Dragon Inn simply for a cup of coffee. Upon entering, I noted the drow that was previously described in a formal complain filed with the Royal Guard. I spoke with the drow (description of Story) in private outside of the Inn about the report. He claims that he does not own a knife, but rather a sword that was sheathed at the time he had the altercation with the couple. The drow also claims he never exchanged any threats, either verbally or by insinuation. His account is that he overheard some rather insulting remarks being made about Drows, to which he responded by approaching the couple in a civil manner. The claim is that he and they were both civil throughout the dispute. I asked if the elf had the description of either the man or the woman that were involved in this - he claimed that he'd forgotten their faces by now since it was a week ago that this occurred. While this is plausable, his demeanor was less than cooperative. Due to the lack of details in the complaint filed with the Guard and the unknown identity of those who brought it against this Drow, I was not inclined to arrest or detain him any further for questioning. If there is any other information reguarding the couple that made the report, the identities would assist in the investigation so that more information can shed some light on weighing these two accounts. After some time a injure woman entered. She was bleeding feet at this time. After we both heard metallic sound that seemed suspicious I remained to observe the pair to be sure the woman had not been assaulted or was in need of a guard. When I noted the gleam of shackles on her ankles, Lady Jen offered to remove them. At this point I asked the Tespin if someone been holding ye against her will. The woman said she had been and revealed further injuries to her wings. I offered aide and took the woman where the shackles could be removed and the woman be properly healed and she accepted. She was then summarily taken to Guardhouse for healing and further information. I believe this woman to be a long term victory of slavery warranting the attentions of more qualified officers. *OOC At this point I was forced to leave AFK for a period, I informed the mun of this OOC. So no play at guardhouse ever actually occurred. When I returned and msg her she did not return my msgs so was unable to continue the play at that time.
