On the evening of [03/24/2009], I was in the Black Dragon Inn for coffee when I overheard [description of Isaacs] refer angerly to another patron [description of "Barnabas"/Autocrat] as a, "demon," in his conversation with the individual.  Caught by this, I turned to the creature/man in question and attempted to question him about this.  His cocky responses and condecending remarks were at first evasive, then turned dismissive.  Of his statements, none of them gave me a good reason not to follow up on him with a holy water test.

Having been through this routine several times before, I decided to go the safe route and wished to restrain this individual before I applied the holy water test.  When I told him to face the wall and place his hands on his head, he disobeyed and spent a good deal of his time evading me.  When I formally charged him on suspicion of being a demon, he evaded again by running away from me when I tried to wrestle him to the ground and into a pair of shackles, adding to the list the charge of resisting arrest.

We continued this game of cat and mouse for several moments before an outside party had evidently beset upon me some sort of spell that had nearly trippled my speed and endurance in order to apprehend the fleeing suspect.  With that sudden increase, however, this individual ["Barnabas"/Autocrat] managed to not only cast some form of ice-laying spell in the wake of his travel, but also outran me at high speed and turned at a 90 degree angle on ice without any effects of momentum or traction-bearing to make a hasty exit.

I, on the other hand, experienced both in addition to gravity when I came down on the ice and went through several tables as a result.

["Barnabas"/Autocrat] is now being charged with the following:

1.  Assault on a Crown Official
2.  Resisting Arrest
3.  Criminal use of magic

In addition he's wanted on suspicion of him being a demon or of a demonic nature.

It's advised that any member of the Royal Guard take caution when approaching this individual and it's highly recommended one not do so without the assistance of a Spellsman of any rank present.

Signed,
~Arms-Sergeant Idelle Sarault
