[Royal Guard] report

Dear Captain Von Stahl

After my rounds last night I decided to stop by the inn for a brief drink before heading back to the barracks when I found a man in the inn that I saw the other night which I've written up another report recently about....the man Vaenik I found lurking over a man and woman laying on the street in the Red Lantern District.  I approached him cautiously and asked him his name....upon seeing the man's features which were hidden by the large hat he wore I knew immediately that he was the one that I saw that night.  I informed him he was under arrest for suspicion of murder and brought him in last night and he now is in a cell waiting for his trial.....  I sincerely do not know if he is responsible for the woman's death but I do know and he's admitted to the death of the vampire male that was found beside her mutilated.

I am hoping this will be over quickly, I will ask the man a few questions to find out if he indeed is telling the truth when he says he did not kill the woman.  He stated he merely did not offer to help her as he saw her being slaughtered.  I will report more on this after I find out more information.
