The following report is of an incident that took place in the early morning hours of ... [01/31/07]:

After filing my report for the evening and retiring from my partol, I entered the Black Dragon Inn off-duty for a meal and leisure. It was here that I found two combatants (description of Heldenbrand & Kip_Leonhart) engaging one another inside of the Inn. I drew my weapon and called for both to halt immediately. The fighting subsided long enough for me to question both individuals over the incident.

(Description of Heldenbrand) alleged that he was engaged in a proper duel with the other individual. I informed the man that duels were not to be carried out in public places and asked for him to take it outside. At this point he informed me that the individual he was dueling was in fact a self-admitted demon and asked for my assistance in slaying him. I approached the situation with extreme skepticism and questioned the other individual about his nature and the validity to these allegations.

(Description of Kip_Leonhart) proceeded to give me a rather convoluted answer, claiming to be of the first and original demons, but that he could hardly be considered a demon in this realm. I took it to constitute as self-admittance since several other patrons, including his own companions, referred to him as demonic. Giving [Heldenbrand] the ok to proceed with the slaying, [Kip_Leonhart] tried to deter the assault by saying he was a vampire, as was his female companion (description of Cytheria). He was quickly educated by multiple patrons, including myself, on the kingdom's legal regard for Demons and Vampires.

[Cytheria] stepped in front of [Kip] in order to divert any kind of attack. I quickly pulled her away from the male and Heldenbrand proceeded to deliver a fatal blow to [Kip]. Though I did not witness it directly, I was later told the male had been killed by Heldenbrand and his remains disappeared. An individual by the name of Diemlocutus Tivaurus and the Inn's bouncer, Tia Mestin, assisted in detaining [Cytheria]. Mr. Tivaurus had burned and ignited the woman's skin by striking her with concentrated beams of sunlight. After a short scuffle, she was subdued and shackled.

I had been thoroughly convinced, however, that she was indeed a vampire throughout the verbal admittance and reaction to sunlight. Rather than wasting the time of the Magistrates, I openly asked the patrons of the Inn if any of them wished to behead her and claim the reward. Mr. Tivaurus accepted the invitation and decapitated her while she was detained in shackles.

Tia mentioned to me that she will deliver a written witness statement to Armswoman Sylverleaf tomorrow cataloguing the night's events in addition to this report.

  Signed,
  ~Idelle Sarault, Armswoman
