[Royal Guard] A notice to the Royal Guard

To all members of the Royal Guard in Drache:

As I predicted in my last letter, the supernatural predators have used 
the recent political upheaval to their advantage. Vampires are preying 
on the populace at will, leaving mutilated corpses of citizens on public 
display for all to see. They have even be so brazen as to murder a 
member of the Royal Guard, affixing a notice declaring Drache their 
cattle to the mortal remains of this servant of the Crown. We must 
strike back against this menace confronting us, and show that we will 
not allow vampires to use us as herd animals, and passively offer our 
throats to them.

I am greatly grieved that so many members of the Wharf Patrol chose to 
stand with the Outlaw and Enemy of the Crown Tarn Harscorn, and listen 
to the rhetoric of an outsider over my lawful orders. I believe, 
however, that many of you did it out of a mistaken sense of doing what 
was best for Arangoth, and making a stand against the very sorts of 
creatures who are now threatening the city. Those members of the Wharf 
Patrol who present themselves to the main Guardhouse and swear loyalty 
to the Crown will be shown clemency and pardoned. Those who choose to 
continue to follow Harscorn make themselves enemies of Arangoth and 
would do well to flee before the sword of Justice and leave the kingdom 
forever. Those who continue to defy the authority of the crown will die 
a traitor's death.
